The Chair of Fastening and Assembly Technologies offers the elective course "Befestigungstechnik" in every semester.
In an elective course, the often underestimated area of pre-installed and post-installed fasteners is to be worked through together with the students in lectures and practical experience. Parts of the lecture will be held in the laboratory of the institute for building research. The aim is to sensitise future structural engineers, planners and site managers to this topic.
In addition, excursions to construction sites or various companies will be offered at regular intervals to accompany the elective course "Befestigungstechnik". The exchange with partners from research and industry can thus be learned at an early stage.
Furthermore the chair gives the oppotunity to do Bachelor-Thesis or Master-Thesis in the field of fastening and assembly technology.
